Funeral services for John Paul Broom, 46, of Sandy Hook, MS will be held at 12 noon on Tuesday, December 15, 2020 at Hartman- Hughes Funeral Home in the chapel with Bro. Carl Dickens officiating. Interment will be at Vince Family Cemetery.
Mr. Broom passed away at his residence on Saturday, December 12, 2020. He was born July 8, 1974 in Columbia, Mississippi to the late Dorothy and Paul Broom. He is also preceded in death by his first infant grandchild Aubrey LeeAnn White.
He was a long time truck driver who enjoyed fishing, watching the Saints and LSU play, and spending time with his family and friends. Mr. Broom was an avid Saints fan who stuck with them through thick and thin. He had a dog named Taco that was his best friend. Mr. Broom faithfully listened to Bro. Carl preach on the radio. He had been known for winning many Bible chasing competitions.
Survivors include his daughter Madeline (John) White; grandchildren Jace White, Aubrey White, and Jaylen White, cousin Tracy (JoAnn) Vince; along with a host of friends and loving family.
Pallbearers are John White, Mason Vince, Jeremy Forbes, Cole Forbes, Trevor Vince, and Hayden Hollingsworth.
Honorary pallbearers will be Tracy Vince, Chris Sutton, and Johnathan Gay.
Visitation will be at Hartman-Hughes Chapel on Tuesday, December 15, 2020 from 11:00 AM until service time at 12:00 noon.
