John Ray Stringer

December 24, 1942 – June 11, 2022

Mr. John Ray Stringer, 79 of Tylertown, MS passed away Saturday, June 11, 2022. He was born Thursday, December 24, 1942 in Walthall County, Mississippi.

Private graveside services were held on June 14, 2022 at Hillcrest Memorial Garden in Tylertown, Mississippi.  Hartman Hughes Capps Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. John Ray was a long-time dairy farmer in Walthall County, Mississippi. He loved to travel and make special memories with his family. The time spent with his family was his greatest blessing. Mr. John Ray will be missed dearly.

He was preceded in death by his father Johnie Stringer; mother Undean Fortenberry Stringer.

Survivors include his wife of 53 years Patsy "Pat" Jenkins Stringer; daughters Allison Ervin (Scott) and Jennifer Bruhl (Ryan); grandchildren Anna Kate Ervin, John Scott "Till" Ervin, Jack Bruhl, and Jennie Claire Bruhl; along with a host of friends and loving family.

Pallbearers were Scott Ervin, Ryan Bruhl, William Forbes, John Clayton, Terry Holmes, and Shelton Stogner.

Honorary pallbearers were Larry Martin and James Fortenberry.
