Joseph Henry Packwood, Jr., 83 of Tuscola, TX passed away Friday, January 16, 2026 at Hendricks South Medical Center in Abilene, TX. He was born Wednesday, June 10, 1942 in Tylertown, MS to the late Joseph Henry Packwood, Sr. and Mary Kennedy Packwood.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 24, 2026 at the Church on Beulah, 902 Beulah Ave. Tylertown, MS from 1:00 PM until funeral service at 3:00 PM. Burial will follow in Hillcrest Memorial Gardens.  Reverend Bobby Thornhill will officiate. Capps Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Packwood was a music teacher and band director for 20 years. He was an avid tarpon fisherman and loved his animals, cats, and dogs.

Survivors include his wife, Margaret Skinner Packwood; daughter, Jamie Packwood Pruitt (Lee) grandchild, Jolie Pruitt: along with a host of loving friends and family.
