Judy Mixon Graves, 74, of Magnolia, MS passed away peacefully on May 18, 2026. She was surrounded by her family. She was born on August 16, 1951, in Magnolia, MS to Thad and Myrtis Mixon.
Judy is survived by her husband of almost 53 years, Nathan Graves, daughters Natalie (Robert) Hales of Tigard, OR, Amy (Justin) Sims of Cleburne, TX, sisters Betty Sue Dixon of Magnolia, MS, Evelyn Staton of Union, MS, and sister in law Sharon (Robert) Davis of Brandon, MS. She was also Gigi to 3 grandchildren Alex Hales, Wyatt Sims and Adeline Sims. She had numerous nieces and nephews.
She is preceded in death by her parents and her sister Faye Simmons.
Mrs. Graves was a devoted and caring primary teacher for 29 years in Walthall County, MS. She was also very active and always there with a helping hand at Tylertown Baptist Church.
The Graves family would like to thank the staff at Camilla Estates for their love and care during this last year. In her final days, she was treated with the utmost respect and care by the ICU staff at Southwest Hospital.
Visitation will be Thursday, May 21, from 5:00-7:00 pm and Friday, May 22, from 9:00 am until funeral at 10:00 am at Hartman Hughes Funeral Home, 412 Beulah Ave Tylertown, MS 39667. Graveside service will follow at Knoxo Cemetery. Dr. Victor Walsh and Reverend Justin Knight will officiate.
