Funeral services for June H. Slater, 91, of Tylertown, MS will be held at 2:00 PM on Sunday, October 6, 2019 at Capps Funeral Home with Brother Glen Nace officiating.

Mrs. Slater passed away at Walthall General Hospital in Tylertown, Mississippi on Thursday, October 3, 2019. She was born November 18, 1927 in Smith County, Mississippi to the late Ora and Evans Harvey. She is also preceded in death by husband Bidwell Slater; four sisters; four brothers; granddaughter Wanda Harrison; and great-granddaughter Beth Harrison.

Mrs. June was a member of Saul's Street Baptist Church. She loved plants, working in her yard, and walking.

Survivors include daughters Janie (Philip) Teetson and Brenda Johnson; sister Jennie Sartin; seven grandchildren; sixteen great-grandchildren; and seven great-great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be at Capps Funeral Home on Sunday, October 6, 2019 from 12:00 noon until service at 2:00 PM.
