Kathleen Louise Whittington

January 31, 1935 – January 31, 2022

Kathleen Louise Whittington, 87 of Tylertown, MS passed away on her birthday Monday, January 31, 2022 at St. Dominic Hospital in Jackson, MS.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, February 02, 2022 from 10:00 AM until funeral service at 12 noon at Oral Baptist Church in Tylertown, MS.  Burial will follow in Oral Cemetery.  Reverend Blake Ellis will officiate. Hartman Hughes Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Whittington was a faithful longtime member of Oral Baptist Church. For many years she worked as a cashier for the local Piggy Wiggly. She truly had a green thumb and enjoyed growing flowers. At the age of 86 she still took pride in managing her yard.  But her greatest blessing was spending time with her family.

She was preceded in death by her parents Charles Blackwell and Elma Thomas Blackwell.

Survivors include her son Danny Stogner; daughters Cheryl Wood (Bruce) and Linda Conerly; grandchildren Jonah Wood and Tess Jefferson (Christopher).

Pallbearers will be Danny Stogner, Bruce Stogner, Jonah Wood, Christopher Jefferson, Taylor Polk, and Daniel Nelson .
