Mrs. Kathyrn Fortenberry, 93 of Odenville, AL passed away peacefully in her sleep 5 days short of her 94th birthday Saturday, April 02, 2022 in Pell City, Alabama. She was born Saturday, April 07, 1928 in Tylertown, Mississippi.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 06, 2022 from 2:00 PM until service at 3:00 PM at Capps Funeral Home, 270 Old Hwy 98 E, Tylertown, Mississippi.  Burial will follow in New Zion Cemetery in Tylertown, MS. Winston Fortenberry will officiate. Hartman Hughes Capps Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

She was preceded in death by her husband Cleitus Austin Fortenberry, father Joe E Sutton; mother Katie Dampeer Sutton; brothers Joe Ray Sutton (Jean), James E. Sutton (Elaine), and Bert Sutton; and son-in-law Roger Lewis Brown.

Survivors include her daughter Candis Fortenberry; grandchildren David Brown (Allison) and Amy Brown Brooks (Taylor); great grandchildren Mary Kate Brooks, Caroline Brooks, Drew Brown, and Alex Brown; sister Sharon Sutton Fox (James); brothers George Sutton (Elsie) and Charles Sutton (Maria); along with a host of nieces, nephews, friends, and loving family.
