Funeral services for Mrs. Kay Irma Griffin, 92, will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Saturday, August 18, 2018 at the chapel of Capps Funeral Home with Bro. Jimmie Barber and Bro. Randal Griffin officiating. Burial will be at Boyd Cemetery in the Salem Community.

Mrs. Griffin passed away at Billdora Senior Center on Tuesday, August 14, 2018. She was born July 23, 1926 in McComb, MS to the late Emmette and Ora Lee Smith. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband James Arnold Griffin Sr and son-in-law Donnie Barber.

Survivors include son James Griffin Jr. (Opal), daughters Annette Brumfield (Frank) and Jannette Barber (Donnie); along with a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and other loving family members.

Mrs. Griffin was a member of Lexie Baptist Church and a volunteer at Billdora where she loved to visit and make people feel welcomed. She was an avid reader and she enjoyed writing in her journal.

Pallbearers will be Jimmie Foil, John Killian, Robert Barber, Richard Ellis, Blake Ellis, Frank Brumfield, Cody Barber, Chuck Creel, Charlie Barber and Joe Griffin.

Visitation will be held at Capps Funeral Home August 17, 2018 from 5:00P.M. until 8:00 P.M.
