Funeral services for Mr. Kent Allen Luter, 59, of Tylertown, will be held at 11 A. M on Wednesday, April 25, 2018 at Capps Funeral Home with the Reverend Justin Knight and Mr. Winston Smith officiating.

Mr. Luter passed away at Merit Health-Natchez in Natchez, Mississippi on Friday, April 20, 2018. He was born June 17, 1958 in Tylertown, Mississippi to the late Hosea Davis and Ruth Ondine Bacot Luter. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his brother Emmette Luter.

He was a member of Tylertown Baptist Church. Mr. Luter graduated with a B.A. in Business from the University of Mississippi where he was a member of the Kappa Sigma Fraternity. He had been a Sales Rep for Butcher's for many years. Kent enjoyed life and was an avid outdoorsman, and sportsman. Some of his favorite activities were snow skiing, water skiing, golfing, hunting, skydiving, and flying. He also enjoyed going on road trips, going to the theater, and watching television.

Survivors include his daughter Lauren Luter; brothers Dwight (Ellen) Luter, and Mickey Luter; sister-in-law Marie Luter; nephews Max (Kristi) Luter, Chad (Jennie) Luter, Brandon (April) Luter, and Jason Luter; and his great-nieces Eva-Marie, Julia-Ruth, Bonnie Leigh, and Emma Leigh.

Honorary Pallbearers will be Bernie Simmons, Van Simmons, Winston Smith, Eric Elam, David Alford, and Mike Lawrence, Sr.

Visitation will be at Capps Funeral Home on Tuesday, April 24, 2018 from 5:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. and on Wednesday from 10:00 A.M. until service time there at 11:00.
