Larry Bryan
Barlow
December 28, 1957 – June 11, 2023
Larry Bryan Barlow,65, of Gulfport, Mississippi passed away at St. Joseph's Hospice/The Carpenter House surrounded by family and friends, covered in the prayers of Father Louis Lohan from Ireland and Pastor John McCay.
Larry Barlow was born the youngest of 5 brothers on 28 December 1957 to Hubert and Lois Barlow in Tylertown, MS. He brought laughter and joy with him everywhere he went, and love to everyone he knew. He met his beloved wife of 40 years, Juanita Barlow, when he brought a pizza to a McDonald's, and they became best friends for the next 47 years. He was a longtime resident of Gulfport, making friends and family around the Coast for the past 41 years. During that time, he became a doting father to Katy Barlow, getting himself dragged into everything from Fall Festivals at St. Thomas to being the Best Cookie Dad in the Girl Scouts. He loved adventures that meant he got to spend time with his family, from camping to band trips.
He is survived by proof of his capacity for love in the form of his wife, Juanita, daughter, Katy, chosen daughter, Em Ferguson, brothers, Bruce Barlow (Carol) of Plano, TX; Marvin Barlow (Nelda) Clinton, MS; Don Barlow (Lan) Gainesville, FL; Dale Barlow (Karen) Petal, MS; sisters-in-law Kathleen Pendell (David Sr.) Southington, CT; Teresa J. Welch, McComb, MS; Judith "Judy" Bass (Allen) McComb, MS; and Jacqueline "Jackie" Watts (Rickey) Summit, MS; several nieces and nephews; various cousins; and countless chosen family and friends. He reunites with his parents, Hubert and Lois Barlow, his grandparents, Iris and Albert Barlow, Della Carlisle, Vivian Carlisle, and Denon Carlisle.
