Funeral services for Larry Jefferson Brooks, 78, of Tylertown, MS will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, June 28, 2019 at Hartman-Hughes Chapel with Reverend Ryan Murphy officiating. Burial will be in the Brooks Family Cemetery in Tylertown, MS.

Mr. Brooks passed away at Forrest General Hospital in Hattiesburg, MS on Saturday, June 22, 2019. He was born May 11, 1941 in Atlanta, Georgia to the late Blanche and Lonnie Brooks. In addition to his parents, he is also preceded in death by wife Viola Jean Brooks; son Chuck Brooks; daughter Dorothy Breaux; and great-great-grandson Logan Carter.

Larry loved spending time with his grandchildren, fishing, playing poker, Atlanta Braves baseball, watching westerns, NASCAR, and drinking beer.

Survivors include daughters Phyllis Gray, Tiney Guidry, and Cindy Brooks; grandchildren Starlene (Heath) Loerch, Missy Gray, Larry (Kasey) Gray, Dyllon Disotell, Dustyn Breaux, Charlene Guidry, Carley Tillman, Lauryn Brooks, Tyler (Kelly) Breaux, and John (Shannon) Brooks; great grandchildren Micheal Carter, Erin Carter, Devin (Michelle) Loerch, Jarrod Loerch, Kayla Gray, Kalya Gray, Kerilynn Wilkins, Kerry Wilkins, Braylon Gray, Emma Gray, Drayson Gray, DaCiah Tillman, Isaiah Tillman, Brynn Lansou, Colton Lansou, Jayse Breaux, and Liam Breaux; great-great-grandchildren Ayden Carter and London Franklin; and a host of loving family.

Pallbearers are Larry Gray, Dyllon Disotell, Tyler Breaux, Devin Loerch, Heath Loerch, and Rickie Dufrene.

Honorary pallbearers are Dustyn Breaux and John Brooks.

Visitation will be at Hartman-Hughes Chapel on Friday, June 28, 2019 from 9:00 AM until service time at 11:00 AM.
