Graveside services for Larry L. Smith, Sr, 81, of Tylertown, MS will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, April 23, 2021 at Tylertown Cemetery.

Mr. Smith passed away at his residence in Tylertown, MS on Tuesday, April 20, 2021. He was born July 20, 1939 in Bogalusa, Louisiana to the late Ruby and Earnest Smith, Sr. Along with his parents, he is also preceded in death by his wife Deborah Smith; brothers Earnest Smith, Jr. and Charles Ray Smith.

Left to cherish his memory are children Larry (Nora) Smith, Jr, Leisha Monet, and Melanie Sherwood; grandchildren Tom Smith, Danny Smith, Rohan Smith, Lesslie (Andy) Lawson, Hunter Sherwood, Alex (Bonnie) Sherwood, and Cameron Sherwood; great grandchildren Declan Smith, Elias Smith, and Whitley Sherwood.

Dad was a devoted son, husband, father, and grandfather. His loving wife of 46 years was his whole life, she was the center of his entire world… He was an avid hunter and outdoorsman, honest, hard-working, loved and cared for the land. With him a deal was a deal, always kept up his end, meant and did what he said, and didn't care what others thought about it. Like many of us he had become a dinosaur and will be sorely missed by those that grew up with and knew him best…
