Lennie Mae Lawrence, 99 of Tylertown, MS passed away Sunday, February 22, 2026 at the Walthall County General Hospital. She was born Monday, September 13, 1926 in Tylertown, MS to the late Lee Roy Moak and Lovie Dier Moak. Along with her parents she is also preceded in death by her husband, D C Lawrence; son, Jerry Lawrence; brother, Jerome Moak; sister, Idell Smith; and granddaughter-in-law Susie Lawrence.
Visitation will be held on Friday, February 27, 2026 from 12 noon until funeral service at 2:00 PM at Centerville Baptist Church (Lexie) in Tylertown, MS. Burial will follow in Centerville Baptist Church Cemetery. Brother Herman Aldridge, Brother Mike Anderson, and Brother Joe Boone will officiate. Hartman Hughes Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Lawrence was a lifetime residence of Walthall County where she used her talent for seeing beauty in all things as an artist, cosmetologist, and owner of Mae's Fashions. She could always find the humor in any situation making your day better with her laughter. Mae also enjoyed growing flowers and working in her yard.
Survivors include her son, Michael Lawrence (Sheron); grandson, Gary Michael Lawrence, Jr; great grandson, Austin Lawrence; and special friend Edna Mae Robertson; along with a host of loving family and friends.
Pallbearers will be Ralph Stinson, Zack Stinson, Chase Copeland, Roger Ginn, Jeffrey Terrell, and Douglas Grammer.
