Obituary

Funeral services for Lessie Mae Rawls, 90, of Gautier, MS will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, November 4, 2020 at Hartman-Hughes Funeral Home with Elder Sean Ellis and Elder Wayne Painter officiating. Burial will be in the Rushing Family Cemetery.

Mrs. Rawls passed away in Moss Point, Mississippi on Friday, October 30, 2020. She was born January 2, 1930 in Tylertown, Mississippi to the late Lessie and Herman Rushing. She was also preceded in death by her husband Bennie Rawls; son James Herman Parker; daughter Lessie "Susie" Pace; 10 siblings; and father of her children Ercle Don Parker.

Mrs. Lessie was a member of Fairhaven Primitive Baptist Church. She was known for the hats she wore. Lessie was tough but always fun to be around.

Survivors include her sons Robert (Judy L) Parker and Ercle Don (Judy) Parker; grandchildren Jeremy Parker, Robert Parker, Jr., Jenni Pace, Mandy Pace, Don Parker III, Lanette Parker, and Stacy Parker; numerous great-grandchildren; brother Donald Rushing; sisters Beth Morrow and Mareen Spence; and a host of nieces, nephews, friends, and loving family.

Visitation will be at Hartman-Hughes Funeral Home on Wednesday, November 4, 2020 from 10:00 AM until service at 11:00 AM.
