Liberty Bell Johnson

Liberty Bell Johnson, 102 of Tylertown, Mississippi passed away Friday, October 20, 2023 at the Diversicare in Tylertown, Mississippi. She was born Monday, July 4, 1921.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 22, 2023 from 5:30 PM until 8:00 PM at Hartman-Hughes Funeral Home in 412 Beulah Ave., Tylertown, Mississippi and then on Monday, October 23, 2023 from 8:00 AM until 10:00 AM followed by a graveside service at Rushing Cemetery. Bro. Danny Forrest will officiate. Capps Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

She was a member of Mesa Baptist Church. Mrs. Liberty loved to cook, work in her yard, and in her flowerbeds. She also enjoyed taking care of her three boys who were her heart.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years Acie Johnson;  sons Glen Johnson and Robert Johnson;  father John Bryant;  mother Rose Anne Baughtman Bryant;  brothers Nelton Bryant, Harvey Ray Bryant and Lloyd J Bryant;  sisters Elouise Collins, Versey Peterson, Arveda Mixon, and  Regona Corban.

Survivors include her son Kenneth Johnson (Janis); sisters Vera Nell Lee and Elniese Snell;  daughter-in-law Linda Johnson; along with a host of grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews..

Pallbearers will be Lonnie Broom, Tyler Stewart, Braeden Dillon, Peyton Johnson, Preston Johnson, and Kavin Rivero.
