Linda Faye Bozeman Howell, 78 of Jayess, MS passed away Monday, May 13, 2024 in Ridgeland, MS. She was born Friday, February 22, 1946 in Tylertown, MS.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, May 18, 2024 from 3:00 PM until 5:00 PM at Capps Funeral Home, 270 Old Hwy 98 E, Tylertown, Mississippi. Visitation will also be held Sunday, May 19, 2024 from 12:30 PM until funeral service at 1:30 PM at Sartinville Church in Jayess, Mississippi. Burial will follow in Sartinville Cemetery. Reverend Gary Harper will officiate. Hartman Hughes Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Linda held a masters degree in education and used her passion of teaching for many years working with special education students. She was a longtime member of Sartinville Church where she played the piano, sang in the choir, and helped on various church committees. One of her favorite events at church was putting together the Chrismon Tree. Mrs. Linda and her husband, Dorman Howell, were members of the Brookhaven Evening Lions Club. During their time there they made many friends and numerous memories. Mrs. Linda was a woman of many talents such as growing roses, crocheting, painting, and tatting. But her greatest blessing in life was spending time with her family. She will be greatly missed.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Dorman Howell; father, Howard Bozeman; mother, Bernice Brumfield Bozeman; brothers, Elton Bozeman and Ted Bozeman.
Survivors include her daughter Trina Tanner (Richard); sons, Shane Howell (Stephanie) and Dane Howell; grandchildren, Emily Tanner, Solomon Howell, Hope Howell, and Trinity-Rose Howell; sisters-in-law, Patsy Bozeman and Jean Bozeman; along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, friends, and loving family.
Pallbearers will be Thomas Davis, Trey Davis, Lynn Harvey, Bryan Anthony, Chase Bozeman, and Michael Street.
Honorary pallbearers will be Scott Bozeman, Brent Bozeman, Bobby Sartin, Jerry Harvey, Jerry Prescott, and Raymond Roberts.
