Funeral services for Linda Breland, 91, of Sandy Hook, MS will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, June 15, 2019 at Carson Springs Baptist Church with the Reverends Scott Breland and  Carl Dickens officiating. Burial will be in the Carson Springs Cemetery in Improve, MS with the Reverend Archie Herrin officiating.

Mrs. Breland passed away at the Marion County General Hospital in Columbia, MS on Wednesday, June 12, 2019. She was born March 4, 1928 in Angie, Louisiana to the late Ina and Dewitt Alford. She is also preceded in death by her husband Robert Breland, three sisters, and three brothers.

She was a member of Carson Springs Baptist Church, and she and her husband would deliver recorded church services on video to shut-ins in the community.  She continued this tradition after her husband's death and did so until she was 87 years old. Mrs. Breland's favorite thing to do was read her bible.

Survivors include sons Clayton (Sherryl) Breland and Clinton (Sharon) Breland; grandchildren Damon (Jennifer Sutton) Breland, Leslie (Steven) Penton, Scott (Michelle) Breland; great-grandchildren Desmond Breland, Duncan Breland, James Breland, Jolyn Breland, Sydney Penton, Sarah Penton, Savannah Penton, Samantha Penton, Shai Penton, Nadia Sutton, and Josette Sutton; and three great-great-grandchildren.

Pallbearers are Clayton Breland, Damon Breland, Scott Breland, Clinton Breland, Steven Penton, and Leslie Penton.

Honorary pallbearers are Desmond Breland, Duncan Breland, and Sydney Penton.

Visitation will be at Carson Springs Baptist Church on Saturday, June 15, 2019 from 10:00 AM until service time at 1:00 PM.
