Funeral services for Mrs. Lohmer Anthony, 103, will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Wednesday, July 18, 2018 at Magee's Creek Baptist Church with Rev. Lonnie Case officiating. Burial will be in the Boyd Cemetery in Salem.
Mrs. Anthony passed away Sunday, July 15, 2018 at Billdora Senoir Care in Tylertown, Mississippi. She was born January 10, 1915 in Walthall County, Mississippi to the late Johnnie and Lillie Magee Ginn. In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by her husband James Clarence Anthony; step father Hezzie Jelks; eight sisters and brothers; and grandson Michael Anthony Andrews.
She was a long time member of Magee's Creek Baptist Church and a loving giving member of her Darbun Community, where she lived. Mrs. Lohmer shared meals with the sick, "shut – ins", and anyone along the way. She also loved working in her yard and garden. In 1983, she retired after 33 years at Pioneer Aerospace Corporation in Columbia, Mississippi. After that she "sat" with several different older ladies in Marion County. Mrs. Lohmer was always available for her children and grandchildren serving as nurse, cook, or whatever was needed.
Mrs. Lohmer (Mom), your physical presence will be missed but your memories we will hold dear in our hearts. Thank you for being a wonderful role model to us.
Survivors include her daughters Joan (Lloyd) Anthony Andrews and Nell (Jimmy) Anthony Yarborough; sons Doyle (Brenda) Anthony and Dale (Brenda) Anthony; ten grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren, great-great-grandchild, nieces and nephews; and a special brother-in-law Clint Pittman.
Pallbearers will be Jesse "Tad" Andrews, Jim Anthony, Bryan Anthony, Mike Anthony, Mark Anthony, and Eric Stewart. Honorary pallbearers will be Mitch Anthony and Allen Yarborough.
Visitation will be at Capps Funeral Home on Tuseday, July 17, 2018 from 5:00 P. M. – 8:00 P.M. and Wednesday, July 18, 2018 at 10:00 A. M. until service time 11:00 A.M. at Magee's Creek Baptist Church.
