Lucille R Boyd, 94 of Tylertown, MS passed away Saturday, April 1, 2023 at her residence. She was born Thursday, October 18, 1928 in Tylertown, MS.

A graveside service will be held on Monday, April 3, 2023 at 2:00 PM at Hillcrest Memorial Gardens in Tylertown, MS. Reverend Ron Jordan will officiate. Capps Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. 601-676-3373

Mrs. Boyd was a member of Union Baptist Church. She loved spending time with family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her father Elisha D. Brumfield, mother Ruby Dell Ainsworth Brumfield, husband Wilkie S. Boyd; son Davis Wilkie Boyd; granddaughter Katie Marie Kemp; brothers Johnnie Brumfield, Rex Brumfield, and George Brumfield; and sister Nadine Blackwell;

Survivors include her daughters Jean Slaton of Columbia, MS, Wanda May (Buster) of Hattiesburg, MS, Janet Laird (Mike) of Tylertown, MS, and Susan Kemp (David) of Tylertown, MS; grandchildren Ginger May Holliman, Brian P. May, Abby Boyd Martin (Mark), Yates W. Boyd (Ellise), Lani Laird Jackson (Chess), Jace M. Laird (Kristy), Carissa Kemp Bowman (Eddie), Savannah Kemp Conerly (Tony), and Jaye Kemp Pierce (Jimmy); 22 great-grandchildren; 5 great-great-grandchildren; sister Alyne May; daughter-in-law Diane Boyd; along with a host of nieces, nephews, friends and loving family.

Pallbearers will be Buster May, Mike Laird, David Kemp, Jace Laird, Yates Boyd, and Brian May.
