Funeral services for Lucille J Johnson, 96, of Tylertown, MS will be held at 12:00 noon on Tuesday, March 3, 2020 at Capps Chapel with Rev. Roger Taylor officiating. Interment will be at Rushing Cemetery.

Mrs. Johnson passed away in Madison, MS on Sunday, March 1, 2020. She was born May 2, 1923 in Tylertown, Mississippi to the late Pinky Bell and Joseph Jackson. She was also preceded in death by her husband Julius Johnson Sr.; three sisters Inez Smith, Vera Boone, and Ruby Rutland; four brothers Wilton Jackson, Edwin Jackson, Ray Jackson, and Prentiss Jackson; and son-in-law Everett Davis.

Mrs. Johnson enjoyed gardening, reading, solving all kinds of puzzles, and spending time with her grandchildren and great- grandchildren.

Survivors include her daughter Janice Davis; son Julius (Angie) Johnson Jr.; grandchildren Kimberly Clark, Melony Johnson, Gabrielle (Michael) Jones, Mitzy Chandler, and Michael Johnson; great -grandchildren Brandon Robertson, Austin (Sydney) Vaughan, Daniel (Rachel) Jones,  Morgan (Jesse) Yelverton, Hunter Vaughan, Nathanael Jones, Grant Chandler, Rebekah Jones, Joshua Johnson, Ethan Johnson, Katelin Chandler, Ashley Vaughan, and Caleb Clark; and sister-in-law Montez Jackson; along with a host of nieces, nephews, friends, and loving family.

Pallbearers are Austin Vaughan, Daniel Jones, Hunter Vaughan, Nathanael Jones, Joshua Johnson, and Ethan Johnson.

Honorary pallbearers are Grant Chandler and Caleb Clark.

Visitation will be at Capps Chapel on Tuesday, March 3, 2020 from 10:00 AM until service time at 12:00 PM.
