Marianne Rhodus McDonald, 60, of Tylertown, MS passed away at her home on August 04, 2026. She was born May 23, 1966, in Tylertown, MS to Theodore “Ted” Wesley Rhodus and Delloris Boyd Rhodus. A celebration of life memorial will be held on Saturday, August 15, 2026, at Lake Walthall in Tylertown, MS, where she called home for 40 years, at 6:00 PM with Brother Millard Moak officiating.Mrs. 

Marianne is preceded in death by the love of her life, best friend, and devoted husband of almost 28 years, Robert “Mac” Dorman McDonald; and father, Theodore “Ted” Wesley Rhodus.

Left to cherish her memory are daughter, Chelsie Carney and husband Cory Carney; granddaughter, Maci Carney; mother, Delloris Rhodus; sister, Rolna Anderson and husband Chris Anderson; brother, Ron Rhodus and wife Lydia Rhodus; special companion, Thad Harvey; along with a host of nieces, nephews, extended grandchildren of the heart; friends, and loving family.

For 20 plus years, Marianne was a devoted teacher at Parklane Academy where she made lasting impressions and shaped many lives of her "kids" during her career. After her retirement, she became the owner of her family business, Old River Steakhouse. She greeted every customer with a smile and was always ready for conversation. During that time, she built relationships that she cherished deeply. But her most treasured gift in life was spending time and making memories with her granddaughter, Maci. Many people will miss her good morning messages to help start their day. She will truly be missed by those that knew her.
