Marilyn Sue Alford, 63 of Tylertown, MS passed away Wednesday, January 19, 2022 at the Merit Health Wesley in Hattiesburg, MS. She was born Sunday, October 05, 1958 in Tylertown, Mississippi.

Known as "Aunt Sue" to many young people, she had a smile that showed her love and acceptance of everyone. She touched many foster childrens lives in her years at DHS. She had a way of making them feel important and heard. Sue loved to travel with her friends and spend time with her granddaughters

Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 22, 2022 from 10:00 AM until 2:00 PM at Capps Funeral Home in 270 Old Hwy 98 E, Tylertown, Mississippi. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, January 22, 2022 at 2:00 PM at Capps Funeral Home in Tylertown, Mississippi. Burial will follow in Boyd Cemetery in Tylertown, Mississippi.  Bro. Mark Wicker will officiate. Hartman Hughes Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

She was preceded in death by her father, Travis Alford;  mother, Louise McKenzie Alford;  brother, Homer Alford.

Survivors include her son Heath Alford;  daughter April Rushing (Brandi) ;  brother Troy Alford (Kathy);  sister Linda Favre (Reggie);  granddaughters Khloe Smith and Bayleigh Smith; sister-in-law Joan "Shorty" Alford; best friends Beverly O'Bryant and Toni Soloway; along with a host of nieces, nephews, friends, and loving family.

Pallbearers will be Ross Bailey, Wesley Foil, Larry Joe Rayborn, Nick Smith, Michael Paul McKenzie, and Billy Wayne Thornhill.

Honorary pallbearers will be Jeff Rushing, Craig Sistrunk, Tom Solowey, Heath Alford, Troy Alford, and Reggie Favre.
