Marion Russell Bateman, 66 of Baton Rouge, Louisiana passed away Monday, March 20, 2023. He was born Thursday, August 30, 1956 in Baton Rouge, Louisiana.

A memorial service will be held on Thursday, April 6, 2023 at 11:00 AM at Bogue Chitto Baptist Church 41088 LA-438 Mt. Hermon, LA 70450. Pastor Calvin Crowe will officiate.

Mr. Russ graduated Tara High School in Baton Rouge, LA, in 1974 and graduate of I.T.I. Technical Institute in Baton Rouge. He was employed as a "Master Scheduler" for chemical plants during their plant "turn-arounds".

He was preceded in death by his father Herschel Bateman; and mother Edna Fortenberry Comish.

Survivors include his sister Jill Jones; nephews Alan Carwile and Sean Carwile; nieces Caitlin Carwile and Janelle "Stevie" Carwile; great-niece Lucy Hick: and a host of loving family and friends.
