Mrs. Marjorie Sorrell, 90 of Avondale, LA passed away Wednesday, August 3, 2022 at the Ochsner Main in New Orleans, LA. She was born Sunday, January 31, 1932 in Tylertown, Mississippi.

Visitation will be held on Monday, August 8, 2022 from 1:30 until funeral service at 3:00 at Carson Springs Baptist Church, 10 Thad Road, Sandy Hook, Mississippi.  Burial will follow in Carson Springs Cemetery. Brother Carl Dickens will officiate. Hartman Hughes Capps Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Sorrell loved spending time with her family, working in her yard, reading her bible, and watching minsters of religion on television.

She was preceded in death by her husband Talley Sorrell, Sr.; son Talley Sorrell, Jr.; father Jimmy Thomas; mother Flossie Stogner Thomas; brother Sollie Thomas; sisters Evie Stogner, Gloria Jean Vandermark, and Betsy Ann Penton; sons-in-law Anthony Percle, A J McConnell, and John Herron.

Survivors include her daughters Tracey Theriot (Neil), Daphane McConnell, Paulette Percle, and Stacey Centanni; sister Angel Tynes; 9 grandchildren; 8 great grandchildren; along with a host of nieces, nephews, friends, and loving family.

Pallbearers will be Toney, Trey, Mark, Brad, Dwight, and Travis.
