Marvin Brock

June 11, 1932 – February 22, 2025

Marvin Brock, 92 of Tylertown, MS passed away Saturday, February 22, 2025. He was born Saturday, June 11, 1932 in MS to the late Ottomore and Idell Brock. Along with his parents he is also preceded in death by his wife, Pauline Brock, son, Gene Brock, and brothers Sedric and Adris Brock.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, February 25, 2025 at Hartman-Hughes Funeral Home, 412 Beulah Ave., Tylertown, MS from 10:00 AM until service time at 1:00 PM with Bro. Mike Anderson. Burial will follow in Tylertown Cemetery II. Hartman Hughes Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Marvin was a member of Silver Creek Baptist Church where he enjoyed spending time with his church family and worshiping his Lord and Savior. He served in the Navy during the Korean War. Mr. Brock enjoyed farming, gardening, traveling (especially going to the mountains), helping people when they needed it, but most of all spending time and taking care of his family.

Survivors include his son, Andy W. Brock (Kimberly);  daughter, Becky Hilburn (Cecil);  grandchildren, Cassie Hilburn, Cassidy Hilburn (Kala), Joshua Brock (Samanatha), Laken Brock, Lindsey Loftin (Coy) and Katelyn Brock;  great grandchildren, Seth, Waylon, Wyatt, Levi, Jaxon and Emma.

Pallbearers will be Cassidy Hilburn, Joshua Brock, Forest Fountain, Chase Copeland, Coy Loftin, and Mark Brock.

Honorary pallbearers will be Seth, Waylon, Wyatt, Levi, Jaxon, Tony Breland, and Dale Brock.
