Obituary

M ary Frances "Molly" Boyd, 81, was welcomed into the arms of her Heavenly Father on July 4, 2020. She passed away at the Golden Living Center of Tylertown, Mississippi, surrounded by the center's caring staff.

Mary was born on Feb. 2, 1939, to parents Alfred L. Boyd, Sr. and Lurlene White Boyd. She was a lifelong resident of the Enon community and active in Enon Baptist Church. For many years, she lovingly took care of babies in the church nursery, and she also delighted in taking part in the Enon Baptist Choir and Joyful Generation. She was a cosmetologist and also involved in the Boyd family dairy at Enon, as well as known for her enjoyment of crafting handmade items for family and friends.

Mary deeply loved her family and was welcomed by many of them in heaven. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, David Eugene Boyd of the Dinan community; sisters, Ruth Boyd Thornhill (Bill) of Hattiesburg, Mississippi, and Juanita Boyd Allred (Cliff) of McComb, Mississippi; nephew, Robert Brooks Huhn of Enon; infant niece, Vanessa Ann Boyd of Enon; great-niece Maya Ashlynn Rushing of Enon and great-nephew Jerod Trent Boyd of Tylertown.

Survivors include a sister, Grace Boyd Huhn (Louie) of Enon and a brother, Alfred L. "Sonny" Boyd (Hope) of Enon; sister-in-law, Lanier Magee Boyd of Dinan; nieces and nephews Kim Davis Boyd (JoAnn) of Dinan; Keith Edgar Thornhill of Hattiesburg; Kyle William Thornhill (Cheryl) of Biloxi, Mississippi; Teresa Allred Harrington (Jack) of Madison, Mississippi; Timothy Clifton Allred (Linda) of Meridian, Mississippi; Tina "Beth" Huhn Hahn (James) of Oxford, Mississippi; Ryan Stephen Boyd (Becky) of White House, Tennessee; Tanya Boyd Rushing (Tony) of Enon. She is also survived by a number of great-nieces and great-nephews.

A graveside service will be held the Enon Cemetery on Thursday, July 9, at 10 a.m., officiated by Rev. David Hedden. Pallbearers are Calvin McEwen, Terry Boyd, Jack Bacot, Ronnie Campbell, Larry Hughes, and Chad Griffin.

In lieu of flowers, gifts can be made to Enon Baptist Church at 1449 Hwy 583, Jayess, MS 39641 or to the Enon Volunteer Fire Department in care of Calvin McEwen, fire chief, at 186 Beartown Road, Jayess, MS 39641.
