Mrs. Mary Nell May, 93 of Hattiesburg, Mississippi passed away Friday, April 14, 2023 at the Merit Health Wesley. She was born Wednesday, December 25, 1929 in Amite, Louisiana.

Visitation will be held on Monday, April 17, 2023 from 11:00 AM until funeral service at 2:00 PM at Hartman-Hughes Funeral Home in 412 Beulah Ave., Tylertown, Mississippi.  Burial will follow in the Tylertown Cemetery. Mrs. May enjoyed quilting, cooking, baking, and traveling. Her greatest joy came from spending time with her family, especially her great grandchildren. Granny May would do anything they asked her to. The memories they made will be cherished forever.

She was preceded in death by her husband Billie Joe May; father Charlie Warner; mother Maggie Smith Warner; brothers Cecil Warner, Donald Warner' and Milton Warner.

Survivors include her sons Charles Herbert May (Terry) and John David May (Shelia); grandsons Jason Charles May (Kelsey), Brian Magee (Tracie) and Bradley Magee (Joelle); granddaughter Jennifer Lee Seals (Rusty); great grandchildren Summer May, Jackson May, Isaac May, Madelyn May, Macy May, Hallee Grace Seals, Taylor Magee, Kolten Magee, Kaleigh Magee, Averi Magee, and Alicen Magee; along with a host of nieces, nephews, friends, and loving family.

Pallbearers will be Jason May, Jackson May, Isaac May, Brian Magee, Bradley Magee, Kolton Magee, and Jardey Este.

Special music will be performed by Kendra Mendoza, Bob Lilly, and Sonya Lilly.
