Mattie Lou Felder

September 14, 1922 – June 18, 2021

Mattie Lou Felder, 98, of Tylertown, Mississippi, passed into eternity on Friday June 18, 2021 and is standing in the presence of her Lord and Savior Jesus Chirst.

Mrs. Felder was born September 14, 1922 to the late Relious and Emma Smith. Along with her parents she is also preceded in death by her husband Joe Felder; sisters Gwen Stokes and Sue Conerly; and brothers Jarmon Smith, Woodfin Smith and Aven Smith.

As a member of Tylertown Baptist Church, she served and worshipped her Lord for many years. She was well known in her family and circle of friends for her delicious pralines and fudge candy.

Mrs. Mattie is survived by her daughters Susan (Mark) Simpson and Emma (Stan) Herring; grandchildren Jan (Larry) Autry, Robin (Clayton) Clements, James (Kasey) Johnson, and Jeremy (Bethany) Simpson; great-grandchildren Kinden, Lyla Rae, Mattie, Cohen, Ethan, Levi, Lawsen, Clayton, and Emery; along with numerous nieces and nephews.

The family would like to express their appreciation to all the employees of Diversicare of Tylertown for their care and compassion for their mother.

Visitation will be at Hartman-Hughes Funeral Home on Monday, June 21, 2021 from 10:00 AM until 11:00 AM. Bro. Justin Knight will be officiating the service at 11:00 AM.
