Funeral services for Mavis N. Rushing, 54, of Tylertown, Mississippi will be held at 10:00 AM on Thursday, October 14, 2021 at Capps Funeral Home with Reverend Shane Freeman officiating. Burial will be in the Rushing Cemetery.

Mrs. Rushing went into the arms of Jesus on Monday, October 11, 2021. She was born September 28, 1967 in Tylertown, Mississippi to the late Thomas "Billy" and Cora Jordan. Along with her parents she was also preceded in death by her grandmother Mavis Baughman and sister-in-law Helen Jordan.

Mrs. Mavis never met a stranger and always shared a smile. While she dedicated all of her love and energy to being a loving wife, mother, and Mimi, she was always happy to lend a helping hand to friends. Many lives will forever be touched by her patience, kindness, and love.

Survivors include her high school sweetheart and husband of 36 years Jeff Rushing; children Kelly (Paul) Coker, Brandi (April) Rushing, Hanna (Ross Bailey) Rushing, and Matthew Rushing; grandchildren Carter Sartin, Parker Coker, Bentlee Coker, and Saylor Coker; brothers Troy (Courtney) Jordan and Sammy Jordan; along with a host of nieces, nephews, friends, and loving family.

Pallbearers are Rusty Roberts, Gene Burns, Delbert Wood, Bradley Reid, Paul Coker, and Ross Bailey.

Honorary pallbearers are Matthew Rushing, Troy Jordan, Sammy Jordan, Carter Sartin, and Parker Coker.

Visitation will be at Capps Funeral Home on Wednesday, October 13, 2021 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM.
