Maxie Ray Graves, 70 of Tylertown, Mississippi passed away Monday, May 15, 2023 in Hattiesburg, Mississippi. He was born Tuesday, February 3, 1953 in Franklinton, Louisiana to the late William Benjamin and Addie Beard Graves. Along with his parents he is preceded in death by his wife Sandra K. Graves; brothers T.C Hunt and J.D. Hunt; and sisters Betty Magee and Louise Mizell.

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, May17, 2023 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM at Hartman-Hughes Funeral Home and again on May 18, 2023 from 10:00 AM until service time at 11:00 AM with Bro. Mark Hobgood officiating. Interment will be at the Graves Family Cemetery. Hartman Hughes Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Graves enjoyed hunting, fishing, spending time with grandkids, having cookouts and telling stories.

Survivors include his sons, William Graves and Chris Graves (Sheila); grandchildren Autumn Graves, Samantha Graves and Aiden Graves; great grandchildren Mason Knight; brothers William Graves, Jr. and Harvey Graves; sister Martha Mae Thomas; along with a host of nieces, nephews, friends, and loving family.

Pallbearers will be Brian Magee, Trevor May, Eddie Dement, Daniel Stringer, Eric Bardwell, and Jacob Magee.
