Maxine McKenzie Martin, age 89, went to her heavenly home on October 6, 2020.  She was born on April 7, 1931 in Tylertown, MS, where she lived her life until moving to Baton Rouge, LA her last six years.

She was preceded in death by her parents Sam and Autimeese McKenzie, her husband Edward Ford Martin, her beloved son, Timothy Edward Martin, and her 14 siblings.  She is survived by her daughter, Deborah Martin Ledet, grandson, Jason Edward Martin, two granddaughter, Lindsey Ledet Mothershead and Jaime Marie Martin, eight great grandchildren, and two great-great grandchildren.

Services will be held at Lexie Baptist Church on Monday, October 12, 2020, at 11:30 with visitation from 9:00 to 11:30 before the service.  Interment will be in Tylertown Cemetery next to the love of her life.
