Maxy Devon Hill

Maxy Devon Hill, 78, of Tylertown, MS passed away Wednesday, March 6, 2024. He was born Monday, May 7, 1945 to the late Bobbie and Goldie J Hill. Along with his parents he is preceded in death by his wives Lyndel Rose Hill and Linda Kay Hill; half-brothers Robert E. Hill and Billy G. Hill; great nephew Holden Kyle Hughes; brothers-in-law William Earl Monk, Gary Wayne Robertson, Joe Boyd, and Charles Michael Herring, and sister-in-law Debra Carolyn Herring Monk.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 9, 2024 from 9:00 AM until service time 11:00 AM at Lexie Baptist Church in 4 W Lexie Road, Tylertown, MS. Burial will follow in Tylertown Cemetery. Bro. Randall Griffin will officiate. Hartman Hughes Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Maxy was a retired owner and operator of the Tylertown Barbershop. He was a deacon of Lexie Baptist Church for many years. He enjoyed listening to music, gardening, traveling, and going to church and spending time with his church family.

Survivors include his brother Bruce I Hill; sister Ivy Jewell Hill Hughes; brother-in-law Kelly R Hughes; sisters-in-law Laurel S Hill and Teresa Boyd; berothers-in-law Colon Alexander and Bryce Alexander; step daughters Chanda McBeth Santangelo and Cristie McBeth Santangelo; life-long friend Warren Satterfield; along with a host of nieces, nephews, friends, and loving family.

Pallbearers will be Jordan Hill, Aubrey Hill, Eric Hill, Aaron Rushing, Shay Hughes, and Blake Hughes. Honorary pallbearers will be the deacons of Lexie Baptist Church.
