Megan Courtney Smith, 33, of Houston, Texas passed away on Thursday, June 3, 2021. She was born February 27, 1988 in Slidell, Louisiana to David Smith and the late Ashley Smith. In addition to her mother she is also preceded in death by her grandfather Jimmy "Big John" Smith; grandmother Jeanette Smith and cousin Catherine Smith.

Mrs. Smith liked living in the country where she could spend time outdoors; she was an avid animal lover.

Survivors include her husband Yousef Ashour; father David Smith; brother Ryan Smith; sister  Savannah Smith; grandfather  Andre Michaud; grandmother Diane Michaud; cousins Josh Smith, Jacqueline Silva, Michelle Alexander, Sarah Alexander, and Michael Smith; aunt Diane Landor ; uncle James Smith; three children; along with a host of friends and loving family.
