Michael Dwight Blackwell, 58 of Bryam, MS passed away Monday, March 3, 2025 at his residence. He was born Tuesday, October 25, 1966 in Jackson, Mississippi.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 8, 2025 from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM at Hartman-Hughes Funeral Home, 412 Beulah Ave., Tylertown, MS followed by a graveside service at 1:30 PM at the Silver Creek Cemetery in McComb, MS. Reverend Mack McElveen will officiate. Hartman Hughes Capps Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Michael was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. In his younger years he was a talented baseball player. He was a natural jokester that kept everyone laughing, an avid sports fan, and skilled outdoorsmen. He made countless memories over the years sharing his skills with his family during hunting and fishing trips. Michael always looked forward to his yearly trips to Dallas with his son, Justin, to watch the Dallas Cowboys football team. His family will cherish those memories forever.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Donna Bradley Blackwell; grandmother, L. C. Blackwell; and sister, Lori Blackwell.

Survivors include his wife, Cindy Thomas Blackwell; son, Justin Blackwell; daughter, Brittany Blackwell; granddaughter, Rozalynn Cheek; father, Dwight Blackwell; brothers, Walter Blackwell and Dwight Blackwell (Tricia); sisters, Michelle Barnes (Jeff), Jessica Ingalls (Robert), and Jennifer Benson (Patrick); along with a host of nieces, nephews, friends, and loving family.

Pallbearers will be Matthew Blackwell, Devin Blackwell, Shawn Blackwell, Caleb Barnes, Tommy Vinson, Ethan Seghini, Dustin Barnes, and Pete Ulrich.
