Minnie Roberts Darr

February 18, 1938 – January 13, 2023

Minnie Roberts Darr, 84 of Tylertown, MS passed away Friday, January 13, 2023 at the Diversicare in Tylertown, Mississippi. She was born Friday, February 18, 1938 in McComb, Mississippi.

Mrs. Minnie enjoyed working in her yard, collecting various whatnots, and most importantly spending time with her family. She spent many years caring for others as a Certified Nurse's Assistant at Extended Living presently known as Diversicare.

She was preceded in death by her husband and father of her children Russell  Roberts and her later husband George  Darr; father Leonard Pine; mother Hattie Louise Smith Pine;  grandchildren John Rushing and Josh Thomas;  brothers Jimmy Pine, Alfred Pine, Bobby Pine and Harold Pine.

Survivors include her son Rusty Roberts;  daughters Melody Rushing, Dee Dee Thomas and Tammy Broussard; stepchildren Melissa Stoetzner, George Darr Jr., and Michael Darr;  grandchildren Mike (Cayla), Brandon, Melissa (Wes), Kristin, Ryan (Jodi), Tara, Erica, Zack (Courtney), Katie;  brother T.E. Pine;  great grandchildren, Kailyn (Lonnie), Hailey, Autumn, Janna, Caleb "Bubba", Alleigh-Ann, MiCayla, Mason, Makynli, Kaisley, Kandyn, Zayden, Flynt, Rylin, Serenity, Kannon, Bellamie, Lailynn, Brycen, and Kadem; along with a host of grand and great grandchildren.

Pallbearers will be Ryan Broussard, Zack Broussard, Brandon Thomas, Wes Fortenberry, Caleb "Bubba" Rushing, and Mason Brock.

Honorary pallbearers will be Mike Rushing.

Visitation will be held on Monday, January 16, 2023 from 12:00 Noon until service time at 2:00 PM at Hartman-Hughes Funeral Home in 412 Beulah Ave., Tylertown, Mississippi. Burial will follow in Johnston Chapel Cemetery in Summit, Mississippi. Brother Winston Fortenberry will officiate. Hartman Hughes Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
