Myrtle S Duncan, 86 of Tylertown, MS passed away Monday, December 16, 2024. She was born Friday, June 13, 1938 in Tylertown, Mississippi to the late William Henry and Roena Seals. Along with her parents she is also preceded in death by her daughter Janet Ritchie; grandchild, Danny P Brown, Jr. and Casey Lang;  brothers, Willie Faye Seals and Danny Seals;  sisters, Diane Stewart, Jeannie Ard and Cleo Seals.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, December 19, 2024 at 11:00 AM at Hartman-Hughes Funeral Home in Tylertown, MS with Bro. Richard Magee officiating. Burial will follow in Gerald Cemetery in Pine, LA. Hartman Hughes Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Myrtle enjoyed reading, working in her flower garden, traveling, crocheting, and her work as a hairstylist. She was known for her gumbo and loved having family gatherings.

Survivors include her husband, Danny P Brown, Sr.;  grandchildren, Jamie Lynn Brown (Stacey Rayborn), Shaun Lang, Jay Lang, and Ariel Mitchell;  brother, W O Seals (Barbara);  nephew, Terry Penton (Penny);  niece, Amy Kearney (Darren);  brother-in-law's, Aubrey Stewart and Ottis Brown;  sister-in-law's, Jane Seals, Lurlene Payne (Joe Irby) and Peggy Hamilton; along with a host of nieces, nephews, friends, and loving family.

Pallbearers will be Roger Payne, Rodney Payne, Scotty Rogers, Johnny Seals, Joe Irby, and Darren Kearney.

Honorary pallbearers will be W O Seals, Aubrey Stewart, and Terry Penton.
