Nancy Ann Jones

October 15, 1958 – February 21, 2022

Ms. Nancy Ann Jones, 63 of Jayess, MS passed away Monday, February 21, 2022 at the South Central Regional Medical Center in Laurel, MS. She was born Wednesday, October 15, 1958 in McComb, Mississippi.

Memorial services will be held at a later date. Hartman Hughes Capps Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Ms. Nancy loved to laugh, write beautiful poetry, and woodworking. She was so proud of her daughter, Cheryl, for becoming a teacher and son, Anthony, for serving in the United States military. Ms. Nancy was sure to tell everyone how special her children were to her.

She was preceded in death by her father Edward Sorrow; mother Bobbie Leonard Sorrow.

Survivors include her son Anthony Jones (Katie Jones); daughter Cheryl Jones (Wil Holton); brothers Wayne Sorrow (Tammy) and David Sorrow; sisters Susan Andrews (Thomas Randy Andrews) and Rita Simmons (John Simmons); grandsons Devin Jones, Marcus Guerra, Silas Jones, and Kensley Jones; 3 great grandchildren; K-9 companion Coco; along with a host of nieces, nephews, friends, and loving family.
