Funeral services for Neal Ward, 74, of Tylertown, MS will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, April 30, 2020 at Boyd Cemetery in Salem with Brother Mark Wicker officiating.

Mr. Ward passed away at his residence in Tylertown, Mississippi on Tuesday, April 28, 2020. He was born December 21, 1945 in Tylertown, Mississippi to the late Gladys and Edward Ward. He is also preceded in death by his brothers James Ward, Jerry Ward, Eddie Ward, and George Ward; and sisters Fay Buchannan, Annie King, Wilma Breland, and Evelyn McCleoud.

Mr. Neal was a member of Salem Baptist Church. He was a hard-working man who enjoyed life. Spending time at the lake and with his grandson Tripp was two of his favorite pastimes. It didn't matter if you were family or friend he was always there with a helping hand. He loved his family dearly and he will be missed.

Survivors include his wife of 53 years Bernita Ward; sons Chad Ward and Cody Ward; grandson Tripp Ward; sister June Bourque; and a host of nieces, nephews, friends, and loving family.

In lieu of flowers the family ask that donations to the St. Jude Children's Hospital be made in Mr. Wards memory.

Pallbearers are Chad Ward, Cody Ward, Adam Ward, Billy Ward, Brent Bourque, Andy Elkins, and Tripp Ward.

Honorary pallbearers are Frank Brumfield, Tommy White, Larry Adams, Ernest Pittman, Nelson McKenzie, Ralph Ward, Elbert Rushing, Charles Dillon, and Ray Ferguson.

A private family visitation will be at Hartman Hughes Funeral Home on Thursday, April 30, 2020 to comply with recent Coronavirus recommendations by the CDC.
