Funeral services for Mrs. Nellie Mae Davis, 92, will be held at 1:00 P. M. on Tuesday, June 12, 2018 with Reverend Douglas Lee officiating.  Burial will be in Hillcrest Memorial Gardens.

Mrs. Davis passed away at Diversicare-Tylertown on Sunday, June 10, 2018.  She was born September 15, 1925 in Tylertown, Mississippi to the late Wilbur and Nora Allie Boyd Rushing.  In addition to her parents, she is also preceded in death by her husband Hezzie W. Davis; daughter Patricia Ann Davis; three brothers and two infant siblings.

She was a member of Union Baptist Church and had been a Seamstress with Haspel's Garment Manufacturer.  Mrs. Davis enjoyed sewing, being outside, and working in her yard.

Survivors include her sons Stanley O. Simmons; Hezzie W. Davis, Jr. (Kathy); seven grandchildren; fifteen great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and numerous other loving family members and friends.


Pallbearers will be Troy Guy, Greg Davis, Dylan Davis, Mason Hollis, Nicholas Garza, and Paul Rushing.

Visitation will be at Capps Funeral Home on Tuesday, June 12, 2018 from 10:00 A.M. until service time there at 1:00 P.M.
