Norma Jean Tynes

February 8, 1930 – July 2, 2020

Norma Jean (Young) Tynes, age 90, of Tylertown, Mississippi, passed away Thursday, July 2, 2020, at Billdora Nursing home in Tylertown.  Jean was someone who loved working in her yard, singing in the choir and spending time with her family.

A graveside service at Capps Funeral home will begin at 11:30 am on Monday, July 6th.  Please practice Coronavirus guidelines and recommendations by the State of Mississippi.

Jean is preceded in passing by her husband, William E. Tynes (Dub), her son-in-law, Keith McManus of Summit, her parents, David Sr. and Flora Elizabeth Matthews Young, three brothers, David F. Young, Jr., L.G. Young, and Paul J. Young and one sister, Addie Beard.

Mrs. Tynes is survived by her son, Donnie Tynes and his wife, Barbara of Madison, MS and grandson, Darren of Denver, CO, her daughter, Rebecca T. McManus of Summit, MS and her sister, Martha Whittington and her husband, Ken of Natchez, MS.

In lieu of flowers, the family wishes memorials be made to the Tylertown Baptist Church, 409 Tyler Avenue, Tylertown, MS 39667.
