Patsy Ruth Hartzog, 86 of Sandy Hook, MS passed away Wednesday, January 4, 2023 at her residence. She was born Wednesday, January 8, 1936 in Foxworth, Mississippi.

Visitation will be held on Friday, January 6, 2023 from 1:00 PM until funeral service at 3:00 PM at Hartman-Hughes Funeral Home at 412 Beulah Ave., Tylertown, Mississippi. Burial will follow in Hurricane Creek Cemetery. Rev. Zack Smith will officiate. Hartman Hughes Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Patsy Ruth enjoyed cooking, sewing, and most importantly spending time with her family.

She was preceded in death by her husband Charlie Ben Hartzog; father Author Rowell; mother Daisy McNabb Rowell; brothers Douglas Rowell and Willie Rowell; and sister Deloris Fortenberry.

Survivors include her brother Dennis Rowell; sister Sue McCain; sons Bruce Hartzog and Chuck Hartzog (Erica); daughters Regina Graves (Tim) and Gilda McDaniel (Ricky); grandchildren Christie Hartzog (Danny), Misty Ellis (Shannon), Dustin McDaniel (Sonya), Codie Martin (Kelly), Aaron Bardwell (Sara) and Eric Bardwell (Charlotte); great grandchildren Ethan, Anden, Margo, Eloise, Atlee, Silas, Ryan Reed, Emily, and Haley; step grandchildren Matthew Graves, Sarah Rushing (Preston), and Rebekah Graves (Joe);  along with a host of nieces, nephews, friends, and loving family.

Pallbearers will be Aaron Bardwell, Eric Bardwell, Dustin McDaniel, Kelly Martin, Ethan Thornhill, and Anden Ellis.

Honorary pallbearers will be Shannon Ellis and Matthew Graves.
