Patsy Shoemaker Brumfield, 80 of Tylertown, MS passed away at her residence on June 23, 2026. She was born on March 25, 1946, in Walthall County, MS to the late George Shoemaker and Grace Popwell Shoemaker. Along with her parents she is also preceded in death by her husband, Frank Brumfield; brothers, George E. Shoemaker and Joe M. Shoemaker; sister, Fanny Brown; sisters-in-law, Linda Shoemaker and Nell Shoemaker.

Left to cherish her memory are children, Stacie Alford (James), Sandi Smith (Kevin), and Carey Brumfield (Jessica); grandchildren, Bentley Brumfield, Emilie Bowman, C.J. Bowman (Melinda),Brittney Bowman, Anna Alford, Lundyn Causey (Jacob), Kendall Smith, and Estella Smith; grandchildren of the heart, Tyler Barton, Jayden Shumaker, and Cole Shumaker; special granddog, Harmony; special caregiver, Brandi Roddy; along with a host of nieces, nephews, friends, and loving family.

Mrs. Patsy was a proud graduate of Dexter High School where she enjoyed playing basketball. She also had a passion for softball and spent many years coaching girls in Walthall County, MS. Mrs. Brumfield was a woman of unwavering faith and a devoted member of Jesus Name Apostolic Church; were she faithfully served the Lord and cherished her church family. For more than 30 years, she dedicated herself to her community as a school bus driver. Mrs. Patsy had a special gift for cooking and found joy in preparing meals for her beloved family.

Visitation will be held at Jesus Name Apostolic Church, 1720 USD-98 Foxworth, MS 39483, on Thursday, June 25, 2026, from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Visitation will also be held on Friday, June 26, 2026 from 8:00 AM until service time at 10:00 AM at the Jesus Name Apostolic Church. Burial will follow in the Boyd Cemetery. Pastor C. A. Gatlin will officiate. Hartman Hughes Capps Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
