Peggy Payne Bealer

November 19, 1928 – March 11, 2020

Funeral services for Peggy Payne Bealer, 91, of Slidell, LA will be held at 1:30 PM on Saturday, March 14, 2020 at Hartman-Hughes Funerall Home with Bro. Buddy Day officiating. Interment will follow at Tylertown Cemetery.

Bealer passed away at her residence in Slidell, LA on Wednesday, March 11, 2020. She was born November 19, 1928 in Tylertown, Mississippi to the late Leila and Jesse Payne. She was also preceded in death by the father of her children Robert Tabor Sr.; her husband August Bealer; two daughters Deborah Faulkner and Linda White; son Michael Tabor; sister Mary Payne; and five brothers Lewis Payne, Ralph Payne, Roger Payne, Jim Payne, and Wayne Payne.

Mrs. Bealer worked for the US Weather Services for forty years where she served as a weather analyst.  She enjoyed exercising, watching the New Orleans Saints, singing and dancing, and dining out at Local eateries in New Orleans.

Survivors include two sons Robert Tabor Jr. and Douglas Tabor; four brothers Donald Payne, Jessie Payne Jr., Percy Payne, and Charles Payne; five sisters Elsie Sutton, Catherine Penneguy, Mildred Gullory, Carolyn Patton and Barbara Delearno; along with a host of nieces, nephews, friends, and loving family.

Visitation will be on Saturday, March 14, 2020 at Hartman-Hughes Chapel From 12:00 PM until service time at 1:30 PM.
