Ree Herring, 90, of Sandy Hook, MS passed away Thursday, January 25, 2024 at the Claiborne of McComb, MS.

Ree was born on August 21, 1933, in Walthall County, MS to the late Sam and Ollie Herring. She graduated from Pearl River Junior College and worked until she retired from the Social Security Administration, to come home and spend more time with her family that she loves dearly.

She was preceded in death by her parents; Four brothers, Douglas, J.D., Huey, and Clyde Herring.

She is survived by Five nephews, Jerry (Charline) Herring, Perry (Dana) Herring, Sam (Melissa) Herring, Simon (Angel) Herring, and Wayne (Latta) Herring; One niece, Lisa Herring; Two sisters-in-law, JoAnn Herring and Ellouise Herring; along with numerous great nieces and nephews.

Pallbearers will be Perry Herring, Sam Herring, Hunter Herring, Simon Herring, Wayne Herring, and Clint Herring.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 27, 2024 from 2:00 PM until funeral service at 4:00 PM at Hartman Hughes Funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Carson Springs Cemetery. Reverend Carl Dickens will officiate. Hartman Hughes is in charge of arrangements.
