Rhonda age 61 went to be with her Lord and Savior on January 17, 2026. She was a resident of Improve. Rhonda was a faithful cherished member of Carson Springs Baptist Church. Her greatest blessings called her MiMi and she loved each one of her grandbabies. Rhonda had a love for life and was so caring and loving to each person she met.
Rhonda devoted 41 years in education, serving students in both Mississippi and Louisiana
• Multiple-time Teacher of the Year
• National Board Certified Teacher
• Founder of Pine High School's Engineering and Robotics programs
• Guided students to state- and world-level competitions in VEX and SeaPerch Robotics
• Presented multiple times at educational conferences- specifically "Teaching Introduction to Engineering" at the LACUE (Louisiana Computer Using Educators) Conference
• Selected as a STEM-H Teacher Fellow, received and used numerous grants for STEM experiences for students and support participating in a national STEM education program
• Beloved mentor who deeply cared for her students and worked to open doors of opportunity for them
Survivors include her mother, Emelda Lott; father, Joseph Stinson; sons, Dusty Crawford (Marisa), Kane Crawford (Kacey), and Hunter Crawford (Kristian); grandchildren, Baker Crawford, Birdie Crawford, Bronc Crawford, Barnett Crawford, Ava Flynn, Zane Estess, Lany Crawford, Aubrey Flynn, Connor Crawford, Claire Crawford, Oakley Crawford, Willow Crawford, and Ayla Crawford; brothers, Steve Lott (Sandy) and Scott Stinson; sisters, Ramona Boyd and Kathy Fitch; special nephew, Jake Boyd; special nieces, Katie Gerald and Ella Dean; special aunts, Ann McKenzie and Elaine Bishop; along with a host of loving family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her father, Ronald Lott; maternal grandparents Rev. Enos Branch and Ruth Branch; paternal grandmother Lena Lott; and special cousin, Nate McKenzie.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 21, 2026 at Carson Springs Baptist Church, 10 Thad Road, Sandy Hook, MS from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM. Visitation will also be held on Thursday, January 22, 2026 from 10:00 AM until funeral service at 11:00 AM. Burial will follow in Carson Springs Cemetery. Brother Bo Walker will officiate. Hartman Hughes Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
Pallbearers will be Mickey McDaniel, Bryant Magee, Jake Boyd, Luke McKenzie, Quan Mark, and Lance Rogers.
Honorary pallbearers will be Donnie Branch, Kenny Martin, Sandy Fortenberry, Randall Brumfield, Dewey Lott, Brandon Magee, David Easterling, Robert Gamble, Kenneth Crain, and Vance Rogers.
In lieu of flowers, the family would like to request that donations may be made to an educational charity of your choice
