Funeral services for Mr. Richard Lee Laird, 40, of Magnolia, MS will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, January 11, 2019 at East Union Baptist Church in Magnolia, MS with Rev. Brandon Lynch officiating. Burial will be in the Durham Family Cemetery.

Mr. Laird passed away at his residence on Monday, January 07, 2019. He was born July 20, 1978 in McComb, MS to Charles and Linda Laird. He is preceded in death by his father, Charles Laird and his grandparents, Hilda and M. D. Durham.

Richard was a member of East Union Baptist Church. He was an avid Saints football fan, a great entertainer to everyone he knew, and loved his time as a drummer in the South Pike Band.

Survivors include his son Brandon Lee Laird; mother Linda Laird; brother John (Cheryl) Laird; stepfather C.W. McKey; stepsisters Jackie McKey Watkins, Debbie King, and Donna Lee Ford; uncles Leroy (Gayle) Laird, and Menton and Ray Durham; special cousin Cliff (Jessica) Durham; special friends Missy Arnold, Kelly Wayne Easley, and Jason Traweek; and a host of nephews, friends and loving family.

Visitation will be at East Union Baptist Church in Magnolia, MS on Friday, January 11, 2019 from 9:00 A.M. until service time at 11:00 A.M.

Pallbearers will be Michael Doyle Graves, Jesse Laird, Jaylyn Whittington, Kelly Wayne Easley,Todd Laird, and Cliff Durham. Honorary pallbearers are Corey Cullen, Josh Lang, and Menton Durham III.
