Funeral services for Richard Paul Smith, 56, of Madison, Mississippi will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, July 21, 2021 at Capps Funeral Home with Reverend Scott Johnson officiating. Burial will be in the Rushing Cemetery.

Mr. Smith passed away on Saturday, July 17, 2021. He was born August 8, 1964 in New Orleans, Louisiana to the late Doris and Hugh Smith, Jr. Along with his parents he was also preceded in death by his sister Amy Smith; brother Hugh Smith III; aunt Lulu Flack; and niece Victoria Fortenberry.

Richard was a longtime insurance agent of Farm Bureau. He enjoyed music, cooking, golf, and Southern Miss sports.

Survivors include his children Jordan Smith and Jake Smith; sisters Angie (Dickie) Foil and Rebecca Stogner; a host of nieces, nephews, friends, and loving family.

Pallbearers are Brett Johnson, Kent Stogner, Steve Boyd, Scott Prisk, Mickey McDaniel, and Ken Wilson.

Honorary pallbearers are Mark McGowan, Kevin Myers, Jason Norman, Will Evans, Eddie Joe Simpson, B B Hemphell, Tristan Morgan, JP Golf Group, and Scott Hoseman.

Visitation will be at Capps Funeral Home on Wednesday, July 21, 2021 from 11:00 AM until service at 2:00 PM.
