Rita Faye Harper

April 1, 1955- August 14, 2025

Rita Faye Harper, 70, of Walthall County passed away Thursday, August 14, 2025 at Walthall County General Hospital in Tylertown, MS. She was born Friday, April 1, 1955 in Bassfield, MS to the late TC. and Goldie Mae Cook. Along with her parents she is also preceded in death by her daughter Heather Tadley.

A memorial service will be held at 3:00 PM on Monday, August 18, 2025 at Dexter Pentecostal Church, 717 Hwy 48 East, Tylertown, MS. Rev. Jerry Terrell will officiate.

Mrs. Rita enjoyed spending time with her family, being outdoors, going to church, and being with her church family.

Survivors include her husband, Steve Harper;  sons, Shane Harper and J.T. Tadley;  daughters, Lisa Ramos and Lexa Tadley;  10 grandchildren; 1 great grandchild; sister, Hazel Griffis; along with a host of nieces, nephews, friends, and loving family.
