Graveside services for Rodney Darren Sanford, 54, of Memphis, TN will be held at Rushing Cemetery on Friday, February 5, 2021 at 2:00 PM with Rev. Buddy Day officiating.

Mr. Sanford passed away at his residence on Tuesday, February 2, 2021. He was born March 27, 1966 in Tylertown, Mississippi to the late Betty and Norman Sanford. Along with his parents he is also preceded in death by his brother Keith Sanford and nephew Aaron Sanford.

Darren was a man with a big personality and full of life, his nieces and nephews thought that he had hung the moon. He loved Disneyworld so much that he had a season pass and would frequently go there. Darren was passionate and caring toward any dog. He always wanted to make sure they received the best life. Spending time with his friends and family brought him so much joy. Darren also loved being an accountant and was very good with numbers.

Survivors include his siblings Melanie (Jeff) Douglas, Allen (Sheila) Gaskin, and Steve (Jennie) Sanford; nieces and nephews Susan Griffin, Knute Douglas, Heather Schuetzle, Natalie Breithaupt, Josh Gaskin, Jacob Gaskin, Jeremy Sanford, and Tracy Harvey; special friend Wade Koon; along with a host of great-nieces, great-nephews, friends and loving family.
