Funeral services for Royce H. Hobgood, 74, of Tylertown, Mississippi will be held at 11:00 AM on Saturday, October 30, 2021 at Hartman-Hughes Funeral Home with good friend Brother David Millican officiating. Burial will be in the Hobgood Family Cemetery.

Mr. Hobgood passed away in Hattiesburg, Mississippi on Tuesday, October 26, 2021. He was born August 7, 1947 in Tylertown, Mississippi to the late Rastus and Ozzie Hobgood. Along with his parents he was also preceded in death by his brother Robert Lee Hobgood; sister-in-law Maurene Boone Hobgood; and dearly loved friend Johnny Magee.

Royce was an honest, kind, man's man. For 65 years he owned and operated a successful farm in Walthall County. He was an avid sportsman that enjoyed hunting and fishing.

Survivors include his loving wife of 51 years Karen Hobgood; sons Blade (Mandy) Hobgood and Ron (Kristen) Hobgood; grandchildren Bodhi Hobgood, Haddox Hobgood, and Hudson Hobgood; along with many loving friends and family.

Pallbearers are Mack Hobgood, Mike Hobgood, Simpson Hobgood, Robbie Montgomery, Shea Sumrall, and Jeremy Sumrall.

Visitation will be at Hartman-Hughes Funeral Home on Friday, October 29, 2021 from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM and Saturday, October 30, 2021 from 10:00 AM until service at 11:00 AM.
